I say this all the time Ciara continues to make music that sounds like something she could have released in her teens/early twenties. She needs someone to help her find a fresh sound and a fresh image that helps her standout from the rest of the R&B girls. I was expecting this album to have a mature sound like Teyana Taylor's album.

It has nothing to do with sound, it's the promo. I barely knew she was releasing an album actually just two weeks ago I saw an article on rap up about the missy single and knew about it.
There was absolutely no hype for the album, too late for the little promo done during the week. And let's face it people don't check on ciara to see if she's releasing, she need the hype or a successful single, two years ago she had body party and the nicki collab. Now she just doesn't have any publicity. It's sad because the album is really good.

4 and Beyonce are completely different albums than B'Day, and so is IASF.

Its MORE than just promo, she just doesnt bring back return because of lackluster material (singles), nothing she has released is as hard hitting and instant as Goodies and 1,2 Step. Her last hard hitting single was probably Ride. These ballads/midtempos that she keeps releasing do nothing for her and it was never her strong or major selling point.. They get her some cute urban spins but it doesnt excite people enough to buy her music. Promise was the only time it worked and she was riding off Goodies era then so she had a lot more goodwill.

Her music does not excite anymore. I used to stan this girl and literally lost all interest after Fantasy Ride.

Ciara needs to go back to what made her famous. That urban hood girl with killer dance moves. We rooted for her when she came with songs like ride and body party. "Ciara" was a step in the right direction; she should have pursued it.

Dance pop been dead since 2011, did she not get the memo? Ever since fantasy ride Her music lacked soul, maturity, and personality..

Tinashe came in the game, and made a more mature album than ciara. Ciara is too damn old to be singin over selena gomez leftovers.

Screw this album.

Ciara needs to get locked in the studio with zaytoven, mike will, dj mustard, etc.

It makes no sense how urban is making a comeback on radio and ciara (who's entire market is urban) is nowhere to be found with an urban hit on billboard.
