The damage control

I can't believe people still put hope on this song to smash. It's not gonna do well.
The obvious sign is that it's only reach top 5 in 2 major markets - US and Canada, out of top 10 in Australia, sitting at #90 in UK . It's already declining everywhere. A typical smash by Britney doesn't have this behavior.
The song is just not good enough.The verse is blank. The chorus is childish. Britney vocal is over autotuned and filtered, I can barely hear her voice. The beat is not infectious enough. The only bright side is the bridge rapped by Iggy.
I'll wait for her second single.

...maybe, just maybe, because it'll be released in a month? Just a thought.

Not that radio host backtracking

idk where that person got 98k sold from the other day when for both days we're at about 50k in the U.S so far....

I think this was all an attempt to gain more listeners.

Lead singles by an A-list artist like Britney don't need really radio support/ iTunes banners to get high on iTunes. It should have, at least, reached top 20 by now when it's already available to purchase.

It's a damn pre-order. It already reached a higher peak than WB and HIAM when they were up for pre-order.

People also need to remember that we didn't get the Work Bitch video until two weeks after the single release AND got it on a Tuesday. We're getting the Pretty Girls music video in the second week and getting it on a Monday which means a full weak of streams. Work Bitch was out of the top 40 on Billboard by the time we got the video so there was no saving it. Pretty Girls will be hanging around the top ten when we get the video so it'll definitely help it rise back to #2 and potentially #1 and it'll most likely debut top 15 on Billboard so we won't have far to climb in the second week. & unlike with WB, the video isn't our last change. The BBMAs are just 6 days after the mv and it's the biggest promo she's gonna do. If it flops after, by all means, meltdown, but there's nothing to cry over yet.

I was frustrated earlier with the airplay but if this stays in the itunes top 10 for awhile, and they get requests..they will have to get on board since itunes & radio mirror each other these days.

I can't see it falling out of the top ten this week. & the promo is spaced out perfectly that I think it'll stay top ten for a solid three weeks so radio will have time to pick it up.
