Soooooo they agreed to go into the home of a stranger, sight unseen, blindfolded and allow said stranger to have sex with them while blindfolded?

Geez...
What he did was pretty sick, but having sex with a complete stranger you haven't seen in person is insanely stupid and dangerous. They're lucky the worst thing that happened was taking off their blindfold to be grossed out by the man's age/physical appearance after having sex with him. That could have ended up so much worse.
That said, I do think what he did was absolutely disgusting and I don't think their idiocy absolves him of his actions. It should qualify as a crime of some sort; not sure if I would label it as
rape even though the crime was sexual in nature -- it was consensual with women of legal age, that's not rape by any legal definition that I'm aware of (in my country/state). Fraud? But, that doesn't seem severe enough.
IDK, maybe this is a new one for the law books considering the times and how easy it is to deceive someone now with so many people meeting/dating online. You can in some cases, consent to sex with someone
without technically consenting as they misled you to believe you were having sex with someone else. Rape by false pretenses, perhaps? Hmm. But that opens a can of worms about where the line would be drawn. What would qualify? Would a person that's simply self conscious and shaves years off their age to be more appealing to a prospective sexual partner and has consensual sex now be legally able to be labeled a "rapist" for lying about their age? Hmmm interesting. Not something I'd ever thought about before. People get themselves into some weird ****. SMH
