But guys, I've got to confess it: I barely have the desire to listen to it on repeat, unlike what happened to me with ALL Britney's past lead singles.

+1.
I still hope it's at least a moderate hit (and I'm sure it will be). Though I must admit, the chorus reminds me of Gwen Stefani a little too much. Or even Charlie XCX.
I'm also not wholly impressed by the songs rhythm. To me, the transitions between the verses/ bridge/ chorus aren't as seamless as they should be.
Either way, the overall 'sound' has me wondering if this is an attempt to once again snatch up the younger demo? The song's a little too vacuous - imo - to cater to the 18-24 age group. Which would be odd, as her Vegas show directly targets that adult demographic. Perhaps she'll be gearing up for a World Tour, following Vegas, and thus targeting a younger audience simply ensures longevity? I dunno, I digress.
Nevertheless, as a 25 year old fan that grew up with her, I would rather listen to an introspective, and mature Britney. I mean, sexy and fierce Britney (who very clearly comes out to play on Pretty Girls) can simply be had via GM, or Toxic, or BTI etc. And let's face it, PG ain't no Gimme More, or Toxic. The track just seems to be a bit of a step back for her as an artist. Tbh, I look forward to more tracks that fall in line with ATWK, or (Love Is A) State of Grace, or Touch of My Hand.
I miss stanning for her brand new music, as I did with BO-FF (and ofc BOMT-GH:MP), but I'm afraid it just isn't happening at the moment.
EDIT: I'm still souped for the mv
