It'd be a disaster. Halle Berry's X-Men acting is, quite honestly, downright terrible. She's also associated with the disaster that was Catwoman, which won't be forgotten by the GP. And, honestly, Storm isn't nearly as popular with the GP (not gays who are blatantly biased towards liking female characters based on the presence of a vagina and nothing else) as characters like Wolverine or Mystique. Black widow is really their best shot

OMG yes! I really want this to happen so badly. Ororo is a goddess. And it's timely, what with all this climate change and female empowerment and the plight of the people of Africa from all the terrible wars and epidemics, I pray this happens soon. Please please please!

Don't think the problem are female leads.

Problem is that the super hero market is dominated by male fans. Men of all ages are into super heros. Superheros are bushed to boys since they're really young.
Female superheros are at a huge disadvantage in that specific market.
Saddly he is right when it comes the this specific genre of movies.

Female lead films have been some of the biggest movies. However, not when it comes to Marvel or DC or anything in the Super Hero realm. I just think the characters in general are poorly written and never truly developed. So of course the movies aren't worth making. Marvel hasn't created a female hero interesting and exciting enough to make a film out of. They're cute as extras, but that's about it. It's not that a female lead movie would bomb because it's lead by a female. It would bomb because the characters aren't worth exploring.

Female lead is different from female superhero lead though. And they obviously changed their minds since Captain Marvel is happening + Jessica Jones series on Netflix. I do think they could have more movies with female leads though.
