2 of the most beloved 'dark' albums here @ atrl, by two beloved amazing artists, but which one do you prefer: alternative pop perfection Ceremonials or the monster pop-glamrock Born this Way?
Ceremonials is a personal, meaningful, thought-provoking album full of ambiguity and metaphors, poetic lyrics, astounding vocals, and brilliantly dramatic production.
BTW is cute, but incomparable. Its lyrics are "silly" at best, and her vocals are all so processed. The production is good, imho, but it's such a shallow, contrived album
Born This Way. Ceremonials is so one-note and overblown. Am still kind of baffled as to why it's so widely beloved here when Lungs clearly reigns supreme.
