The reason why is because that part has always been mostly Spanish speaking, that part of the US is dry and will not be sufficient for a population that size. Really they'll self collapse without a whole country to unite it. The country is better whole than separated.

Excuse me but don't you see it, if the majority of people are speaking Spanish then there is no need
for them to pursue a politic founded by English pilgrims in the 16th century.

Seperation of French and English Canada doesn't work (although I'm old enough to know that in the 70's under Trudeau there was a strive for seperation) because it has no dynamic, but the dynamic of the south of the USA comes from the migrates, mostly catholic Latinos.

That's because those are recent immigrants. They'll eventually integrate. But what about all the Asians in that area, I doubt they'll want that either. Really separation won't work, because that would be an economic disaster for the region. You think Google or Apple or the oil companies will remain in a potentially unstable country? Not even Florida would do that and half of it is mostly Spanish speaking.

Like I said before we have in the USA politics and laws dominated by Pilgrim Fathers who are non Catholics. This could get us in a clash with Catholics, not now but in the future.
