Brave was recorded before Roar but hadn't yet been released in March 2013. So Katy had never heard it when Roar was recorded. Hence Brave couldn't have influenced Roar. Thanks for playing!

Because Katy's got that legend factor and immense amount of talent. 15 million for a song in this day and age can only mean one - the new Queen of Pop is crowned.

It was the right song at the right time. Katy + dream team really hit it out of the park with the melody imo. Strongest part of the track. Basic, catchy lyrics. Broad, universal theme.

Being endorsed by a divisive politician (though tbh I can't think of one that isn't), a politician accused of corruption, and a homophobe as well as featuring in a financial disaster. Only queen Katy Perry.

That said, none of this is impact. Impact is something that actually helps to either shape and change society as a whole OR changing standards of the music industry.influencing the sound of music (being liked by politician's and a boxer and in a financial disaster is none of that) Impact is like Britney's BOMT era, where, despite not being endorsed by the president, lots of Britney-clones spawned and had similar music/images

Some of the biggest names in the world have endorsed the song, and you questioning their character doesn't change the impact Roar had. And check your facts next time boo, because Horrible Bosses 2 wasn't a financial disaster
