Is Beyonce the standard?

I mean whenever someone releases a song the first few threads are "7/11 vs ____" "Partition vs ____" Bigger hit "Drunk in Love vs _____"

I mean look at BBHMM and Pretty Girls. Two very different songs, (most with good taste would say a lot weaker) were/are immediately compared to Beyonce songs, some which were released 7 months ago, if not longer.

Is Beyonce simply the standard for all greatness in modern pop/R&B music. despite what the very people, ho make said threads, say?

She really is. People compare her to everyone because she's the best in her field. Beyonce can go two years between albums and be compared to younger and older pop girls releasing music.

Most of the time the Navy and Kats think they're one upping Bey and the Hive if they make a thread comparing their releases where Rihanna or Katy wins.

When in reality all they are doing is referencing Beyonce, making her the standard. She's the first thing that pops in their mind when they think of their own fave's release/material.
