Mess at people and the gays voting solely on how gay-friendly Margaret Thatcher was. Margaret Thatcher SAVED the UK. Was she bad for women? You think being the first female PM was bad for women? You think showing men how women can be a badass too isn’t a good thing? She shut down the overly powerful unions who were ruining the economy. She helped bring the stock market into the modern age, allowing loads of people to become richer than they could have ever dreamed of. She helped millions of people get on the property ladder. She led to the end of a failing industry crippling the UK. She basically shaped the UK’s entire economic and social future. People are so ignorant when judging her based on a small issue in the grand scheme of things. She hardly threatened the gays, she didn’t make it illegal, she was just reflecting the views of voters at the time, as any good politician would do, she didn’t lead to persecution of gays, she didn’t round them up like Hitler (whoever compares her to him, the ignorance), she was and still is the most important Briton since Clement Attlee, and to demonize her for her views is nothing but sexism under the name of anti-homophobia.
