Except the fact that AO was (most likely) released for fans (no announce, circulating in Internet as promo song for NCAA season. week on Tidal before releasing on iTunes and VEVO)... I don't think that was a route for worldwide hit. That's why... I wonder why is this even questioned that it didn't have iTunes banners, like, man... Or about "difficulties" during its release, I guess it's always been normal practice that songs are released in different countries in different time (even if it's iTunes... like, all supporting countries' releases in an hour or two). This time it was in Europe before than in USA (or nah, I don't remember, but if it was, it's not strange that non-used Americans started fuming about "not being able to download while others can")
That's why I think it's just media speculation. But if not... I wanna specify, if they really choose to sabotage all the artists for releasing smth as Tidal exclusive once (not these "exclusives" themselves - which would be normal in competition - but all artists' music), that's nasty ofc, manipulation? ofc, and raises questions - do we wanna be stuck to such company? (That's not about "choosing tidal vs apple", that's about sending ****s to both, you know
)
p.s. not all of haters bringin' up "excuses" thing... or build another
amazing theories about streaming as Rih's only strong side etc etc. Although I pretty hate all this "aaaaaaaaaaw, so baad, leave [n-company] NOW", "apple are doing RIGHT", "she shouldn't have done [n] not pay for this" (c)
great marketing experts. I'm disgusted with the fact even fans are joining this idiotism. Wow, hypothetical 10 bucks per head really drive people insane. As much as I hate fans' excuses about "bad label/not enough promo/media conspiracy against particular person/public are idiots" etc etc
