I'm lowkey excited, I think her having a psychadelic pop direction could slay she's mentioned Lana as an influence so I'm kinda expecting something like the more trippy songs on Ultraviolence (Cruel World, Shades of Cool, West Coast) but with poppier melodies and production.

Does simply re-using lyrics actually count as sampling? I was always under the impression sampling meant using an actual recorded piece of music in another piece of music, like an actual guitar or synth or vocal section, not simply taking lyrics or a note melody. Like your faves new single, does it actually sample I Want You To Want Me by Cheap Trick or does it just reuse lyrics?
