I don't see how she is looking for pop hits when her lead single was traditional RnB. I just don't understand her. She's clearly been given too much decision making power in her career because everyone knows that RnB songs will not bring single success and generic pop songs will not bring album success. She did this whole era upside down. Whatever happens here on after, she has brought it upon herself.
surely this should be more important to us as listeners and fans? we're seeing her vision come to life in the way she wants it to be seen/heard
This is the best album she's delivered in her career. Its so cohesive. It flows well and tracks get better after each listen. Im so proud to be a stan!
BMF- 6/10 - It just doesn't work for me, too messy, I need a real song.
THIF - 6/10 - Could be a grower but a wasted opportunity with the features.
Lullaby - 7/10 - The bridge overshadows the letdown chorus, it sounded so good from the preview.
DLWML - 8/10 - Good song
SOY - 5/10 - Boring filler
Fly - 9/10 - Something new sounding from Ci, her voice sounds amazing on here.
I Bet - 10/10 - Wish the album sounded more Urban like this
Give Me love - 7/10 - Again a very average song for Ci
K&T - 7/10 - Another average track
All Good - 7/10 - A wasted production on an average song that doesn't go anywhere.
Only One 8/10 - Again a bit of a letdown after the preview, thought the chorus would be a little more catchy
OWA - 10/10 - Amazing, so catchy and exactly the pop side Ci should be working with.
IGY - 6/10 - Forgot how it sounds already
Overall I'm really quite disappointed with the album and hope it's a grower. I thought I wanted Ci to do more pop but most of the album sounds so filler and not the real kind of pop it should be, I'm gonna need a BI part 2, or just an album of LIU and Overdose clones.
Well there's one flaw about Only One.
I wish she wouldn't have just did the chorus once at the end.
She should've repeated it or just repeat the "just when i'm the only one - the only one around" part in-between breaks.
I'll get over it tho.
