The difference is that her knee was injured to the point where she needed to have major surgery done on it (twice).
Godney Billboardney twisting her ankle that she was able to stand on just seconds afterward will likely not have any effect on how she performs 17 days later, not to mention the fact that she has several Vegas shows and normal duties to abide to until then that require her to use it.
