Scientology purports to have no issue with its members retaining their Christian faith, because, well, Scientology doesn't really have its own theology. They make no claims regarding the Judeo-Christian God, or the validity of Christianity itself, or any other denomination/God figure. Ideas of "faith" and "belief" are noticeably absent from Scientology's teachings. Their general concern is esoteric, "personal development," ******** — self improvement training that appeals to a lot of people because it's malleable to most philosophies. Or, at least, this is the spin given to lower-level adherents and celebrity adherents.
In any event, it kinda sounds like Tina's husband isn't all that serious about Scientology — that he, like a lot of people trying to make in the industry in the 1980s, dabbled a bit with some of Hubbard's coursework and probably had a few auditing sessions. I'm more concerned for Beyoncé and Jay, who have close connections to several practicing Scientologists, and could easily be sucked into the fold. I fear that poor Turquoise Dandelion will be put in a school that advocates Hubbard's
Applied Scholastics and end up with an "education" comparable to Jaden Smith's.
