As a young latin guy I don't think I've ever experienced racism that i recall but I know most latin and black men have. Have you ever experienced racism and by who and what happened?

For my whole life. That's why I find it so funny that ignorant white suburbian ATRLers think they can comment on racial issues in our country, or dismiss them like they don't "exist anymore." I've always gone to private schools, and even now in college I'm pretty much only around rich asian or white people who are just as sheltered and ignorant as anyone else, and this is at NYU. Imagine if I was at some Southern state school.

There are just some things that no one will be able to understand unless they happen to them personally. You will never understand that racism is still as rampant as it is in this country until you realize the way people treat you differently for being black. The way you walk into stores and everyone fake wants to know "how you're doing" and "if you need help with anything," or the way dating apps are pretty much useless because no gays want to talk to a black person in the East Village. Idk, it sucks but I try not to get bothered by ******** like this, because it's just the way human society works. There HAS to be a social heirarchy so that people know their place socially, but it's just a shame that a simple, uncontrollable thing like race plays such a huge part in where one stands within it.

I have been targeted for attacks by people and have been harassed because of my race, but no because I'm white.

Personally, I have never witnessed it in my life. In Northern Ireland, sectarianism (Catholics vs Protestants) was a much bigger issue than racism, which is rare.

I experience racism everyday on atrl and various other news sites, including Facebook.

i was told in middle school by these two yt bullies that they were scared to come to school everyday because they were afraid i'd get so angry by their comments that i'd "bomb the school"

they also always asked me why i bothered getting an education considering i would "grow up and become a terrorist anyway"

when i finally got pissed and told my parents, who told the principal, they claimed they were just joking and were let off
