I LOVE being black. Even though people who look like me get ******* on and discriminated daily from all fronts, I feel amazing to have been born the way I am.
I love my clear, dark skin. I love that when I get tan, I get even darker. I love my hair, which is so versatile that I can have it bone-straight one day and in kinky coils the next. I love my full lips. I love how if I put lotion all over my body and walk outside, my body glimmers.
I love that my ancestors have proven themselves to be strong and resistant for hundreds of years.

It's because she is a racist. Everyone who fights for black power or black equality is a rascist. Now I'm going to be downvoted because hurrdurr minorities can't be rascist. Imagine if I made a post saying I love white people or started rioting and chanting white power yeah then it's different. Don't give people upvotes for being a powerful black women give people upvotes for being good people.
Some people are so ****ing stupid. People are STILL questioning why minorities do this?
Why do you think there's so International Men's Day? Or Straight Pride? White History Month?
Because everyday, they are loved by the world, get pride for it and never ever get discriminated for it. But as soon as a minority gains confidence, there's an issue.
****ing twats.

I think it comes from total ignorance about how power structures work in society, and the feeling that the need to be politically correct (aka not oppressive and offensive) is somehow a source of shame. He's upset and confused that as a white male he can't celebrate what he is because it would be viewed as offensive, and does not understand that the whole world celebrates white men all the time every day in every way.
Like, does he not realize that black people are denied jobs if they choose to wear their natural hair? And that's just one of many issues the author is addressing.
But yeah, that guy is totally missing the point. The reason why "white pride" isn't looked on favorably in Western culture is that white is already the norm here. On an institutional level, people here aren't othered or treated like they're less than human for being white.
