It's actually from the January 2014 issue of "The Fly" (a British music pamphlet/zine thing) and I just thought it was funny seeing it again now because I forgot about that whole thing.

The shuttle she was going to go in was trashed.

People died in the test launch though, so of course she wasn't going to go through with it after that happened.

Hopefully she learnt her lesson in announcing things before they're confirmed though. I've done that before, said "I'm doing *this*" or "I'm going to go in to *this* profession!" and then it's failed. Don't tell someone you're doing something (or that something is going to happen) until it's 100% confirmed.

The "flight" she did with Volantis is not going to space, even I can reach higher heights than that just jumping.

She went with Volantis, Duh!

Ok I feel there's some misinformation and confusion surrounding what really happened because I'm hearing many different things from all of you... Time to do some research!

(also, it wasn't Volantis, I just googled it and that was just a little hovercraft. The space thing was where she was supposed to actually launch outside of the earth's atmosphere)

edit: ok so I found this... Long story short, she was going to do a little concert from space that's also like part wedding or something (according to this article) in early 2015. She canceled it because of a Virgin Galactic rocket crash.
