The fact she tried making it the lead single...
She was barely on the ****ing song, she should have just been a feature
BUT she looked flawfree in the video & on the single cover
Hmm, lemme think back to the releases of everything pre-album and my reactions/feelings at the time.
Triumphant -- this is decent; nothing special. I liked the Vintage remix, though.
Almost Home -- I tried so much to like this, just couldn't. Went nowhere for me.
#Beautiful -- I thought it sounded great, but not like GREAT as everyone was saying. Something felt missing, but I went to bed the night previously saying 'if the song makes T100 on iTunes I'll consider that a good thing'. Little did we know it'd reach #4 on iTunes, and shut the whole site up.
The Art of Letting Go -- I hated this so much. I had a meltdown. We had to wait so long for the hype, then additionally the 'Facebook party' was just her posting a link and she was like 30 minutes late on that. I had a meltdown in the thread over how bad it was.
You're Mine (Eternal) -- I actually really liked this. Especially the Trey remix, and was so happy I got to stay from school since it was snowing and listen to it the whole time. + we had multiple interviews, the music video premiere, and the MTV interview the same day.
Thirsty -- I couldn't believe IT. The first 10/10 the era. I thought it was so amazing soon as that snippet dropped online. I had to contain myself SO BAD to not listen to the full and wait til the album dropped and buy it to hear the whole album at the correct time and have a full experience. Especially with the early iTunes radio release. Thirsty is my favorite song from the album.
