Celeb News: Avengers: AOU has passed $200M WW

The sequel is outpacing The Avengers by 44%, and has so far only actually debuted in 44 markets. There are still many more to go, including North America next Friday (where it's expected to gross upwards of $200 million during its opening weekend). It reaches China on May 12th, another territory which will give the movie a massive boost. The chances of it topping the $1.5 billion haul of The Avengers are looking very good at this point. Avengers: Age of Ultron was #1 in all territories, and those at the top were South Korea ($28.2M), the UK ($27.3M), Russia ($16.2M), Brazil ($13.1M), Australia ($13.1M), and France ($12.4M). Girl It's not locked that it's reaching 2B, for that it would need about 1.4B (assuming it makes 600M+ in the states again) and it doesn't seem likely cause it's performing similar to F7 in some markets and that will end with about 1.1B OS so no 2B is most likely NOT happening

GIRL, it is a strong possibility that it will reach 2B, it's NOT performing similar to Furious 7 because it hasn't even been out that long. It just started so for you to say it's performing similar that's incorrect and you're trying to downplay it's ability to perform better than the first film.

Oh and Furious 7 is the 5TH highest grossing film WW with 1.3 BILLION so far and 1 BILLION of that gross came from overseas (only Titanic and Avatar were able to accomplish this feat).

Yes i can say it is performing similar to F7 because in all of the markets AOU opened so far , it performed a little better or on par with F7 so yes it's current trajectory seems to be inline with Furious 7.. for example, F7 opened w/ $16,089,373 in Russia while AOU opened w/ $16.2 million.

SIS... do you know what OS stands for? OS= OVERSEAS so when i said 1.1B OS i was referring to the overseas number for F7 not including the domestic numbers (USA & Canada) ... F7 will most likely end up with around 1.1B OVERSEAS and about 340-350M DOMESTIC for a total of 1.450B.If AOU were to make 2B it would need 600M+ IN THE STATES & CANADA again & an additional 1.4B OVERSEAS .. most professional box office sites are putting AOU under 600M for it's domestic gross so its HIGHLY unlikely 2B will happen..
