fave artpop performance
basically the artpop era in one vid
There are some really amazing writeups about SXSW over at Popjustice. The night was a big mess, but it was an amazing big mess. All of the pain and sadness from the ARTPOP era culminating in this one massive Doritos-sponsored performance. The emotion, the raw feel of it all... It's all something her contemporaries could never even dream of achieving.
My fave part has to be the story of the exec standing in the audience being like, "is this what I paid $2m for?"

Sorry there were no fireworks and flashing lights to entertain you.

yea and the bad romance mess that night tops it all
Mess y'all really think she's gonna comeback smashing so hard doing JD/PF numbers? Be realistic a bit bbs
Anything could happen. I never thought a song like Applause( about koons, pop culture) could sell 2.6M is USA- more than Alejandro and almost as much as LoveGame. If she comes back with hella good music... why not?
It was, I stayed up till the early morning to see the stream to watch it.
It left me like
So many emotions, it left me in a weird state for the rest of the day lol, I didn't know what to feel.
IKR? It was obviously very important for her to perform the way she did. It was gross at times, funny at times, touching, full of raw emotions. It really was something very very special.
