I think it's because humans are so limited that we are so creative.
If we could run faster or lift heavy objects with ease, we would never dream of inventing the wheel, using horses, or the car.
If we had a thick coat of fur all over our bodies, we wouldn't have fashion or clothing.
If we had wings, we would never dream of flying, going to space, etc.
If we weren't so stupid, we wouldn't dream of learning more and discovering things through science
