You fail to see the bigger picture. Applause, gosh, even DWUW, sold more than any single from the BEYONCE album worldwide yet ARTPOP is an embarrassing underperformance whereas self-titled was quite a success (at least in the USA). R8 will mark the end of Rih as a major force. You read it here first.
I just LOVE the fact that Ariana Grande has replaced Rih & Katy as the #1 glorified singles artist of the music industry. Finally a glorified singles artist who can at least serve decent live vocals most of the time. +, Ari is prettier.

Ariana's singles except for Problem sell on par with Unconditionally and This Is How We Do which is hardly an accomplishment. And the album barely passed 1M with TD/BTW-sized promo. She passed Shitlena though, let's give her that.
