It's not about the braids.
It's not about the twerking.
It's not about the clothing.
No black person is going to give a **** if you braid your hair, twerk, or wear "black" clothing, what black people care about are the double standards and how they're demonized for things white people are praised for. That's what it's all about. You guys always try to simplify things that are incredibly complicated and cannot be simplified.
Put it this way: when a black woman has big lips, she's made fun of. When Kylie Jenner has big lips, it sparks a funny Twitter trend that everyone wants to be a part of. When a black girl wears dreads or locs for real reasons, she's seen as dirty. When Kylie Jenner wears dreads or locs, she's praised by magazines for "starting a new trend". When a white person walks down the street in a hoodie, no one bothers them. When Trayvon Martin walked down the street in a hoodie, he was killed because "thug".
That's what it's all about. Do Katy, Taylor, Kylie, etc. mean to harm black people or spread stereotypes? Of course not, but intent doesn't matter when people are being hurt. If I accidentally shoot someone, does saying "sorry, I didn't mean it" heal that person's gunshot wound? No, it doesn't. It's the same idea here.
I don't get why so many of you are so fervently against the idea of cultural appropriation. You've got people of color telling you it's an issue and you're still like, "LOL". That's privilege at its worst.

She is mixed race, half black, quarter Inuit, quater white.
If the Jenners aren't trash then I don't know what's trash. Just look at the comments of the tabloids there is no much support.

I see it as a positive term to tear down race barriers.
