Stuff like saying "Lady Gaga is a fat flop!" or "Britney looks like death" are personal attacks. Refusing to call a transwoman a woman is not only disrespectful to Bruce it's disrespectful to transwoman as a whole. It's marginalizing them to say "yeah you identify as a woman, but I'm going to disregard your feelings and your identity because what i think is more important . It's like when people say don't believe in the gay lifestyle and try to justify it as their opinion. It's not about you and it's not about how you feel. Trans women are women and you're gonna have to deal.

Trans women aren't "women," they're people who are born men and identify themselves as women. There is a difference and it's as simply as that. I'm all for supporting trans women, but political correctness is not needed here.

The point is that they're definitely not men, they identify as women, and it's disrespectful to call them what they don't identify as.

That's fine. I will call Bruce Jenner and any other trans woman a "woman" out of respect, but genetically he was born a man. Him identifying and wanting to be called a woman doesn't change that tidbit. If he was a woman in every sense of the word, the "trans" wouldn't even be needed. Just FYI.

With that said, people DO need to be more open-minded to the trans community and their struggles.
