Billboard are trash for saying ARTPOP lacked catchy hooks. I agree about MANiCURE being a huge missed hit though, it could have smashed in a normally handled era.
I agree with the above, I think we're getting a darker era, but I think we'll see more mystic, mysterious and supernatural themes this era rather than monsters or darkness. I'm dying to see her with dark purple hair

Yeah! ARTPOP(album) actually have many hooks!
There's no surprising that MANiCURE was chosen to be a single by Billboard since it was blessed by Adele. But Gypsy, Venus and Dope (the one liner potential of, "I need you more than Dope") + Sexxx Dreams Remix feat. Rihanna could do wonders also.

I love it when Monsters adopt what's Gaga's preaching. Like with that Bruce Jenner issue, Monsters supported him instead of bashing Kim K's family.
