All of these artists sell out once they find a bit of success (and I think that is their intentions). If the stuff bombs, then they go running back to their niche like nothing ever happened. But I'm looking forward to see what he brings with Max Martin. I'm not the biggest fan of The Weeknd's dreary sound, so this could be a good thing for him, as long as he doesn't stray too far from what made him popular in the first place.

I also think artist can become mainstream while still having artistic integrity.
You people complain for anything ,really. Let the King expand his audience and make that MONEY.
Besides, I'm sure his album will be filled with songs like the ones we're used to, but with a few mainstream ones to get his music selling. I predict a very good opening week for his next album
