Native American actors walk off Adam Sandler's racist movie

Approximately a dozen Native actors and actresses, as well as the Native cultural advisor, left the set of Adam Sandler’s newest film production, The Ridiculous Six, on Wednesday. The actors, who were primarily from the Navajo nation, left the set after the satirical western’s script repeatedly insulted native women and elders and grossly misrepresented Apache culture.
“There were about a dozen of us who walked off the set,” said Anthony, who told ICTMN he had initially refused to do the movie. He then agreed to take the job when producers informed him they had hired a cultural consultant and efforts would be made for tasteful representation of Natives.
Allison Young, Navajo, a former film student from Dartmouth, was also offended by the stereotypes portrayed and the outright disrespect paid to her and others by the director and producers.
"When I began doing this film, I had an uneasy feeling inside of me and I felt so conflicted," she said. "We talked to the producers about our concerns. They just told us, 'If you guys are so sensitive, you should leave.' I was just standing there and got emotional and teary-eyed. I didn’t want to cry but the feeling just came over me. This is supposed to be a comedy that makes you laugh. A film like this should not make someone feel this way.”
“Nothing has changed,” said Young. “We are still just Hollywood Indians.”

Yesss drag them!!! I hope this blows up and kills the film or makes them seriously redo it. Hollywood is DISGUSTING in the way it portrays all kinds of minorities.
What did they expect going into an Adam Sandler film though ?? a documentary? Their first mistake was agreeing to work with this clown
People need to eat, do you know how many roles there are out there for Native actors? Not a lot. The vast majority are degrading **** like this. Same deal for Hispanic actors who are asked to speak in an exaggerated accent, act "spicy!" and only for roles of a gang member, pool cleaner or gardener. Same thing for Asian actors, who are either scientists or "funny Chinaman!" like in The Hangover. The whole industry is so disgusting when it to it and the thing is Hollywood films are so global and play a huge role in shaping people's perception of the world. If most of the stories told are about white men (80% of the most successful Hollywood films feature white men in the lead role, and the rest are usually white women), and all the minorities portrayed are only ever in stereotypical, degrading manners, and this goes on for decades and decades unchallenged, is it really that surprising that people don't view it as a big deal? Just because it's normalized doesn't mean it's right.
Poor thing was so naive. She thought Adam Sandler was doing a smart comedy. The man since his inception has never done anything smart in his life. All his movies have disrespected some type of people just to get a cheap joke off.
Yeah he might have gotten it wrong with this movie (well with many movies) but why is he so hated, he is one of the biggest Hollywood comedians for a reason. If you say you've never enjoyed any of his movies I'd think you're lying. Also at people responding to racism with anti-Semitism.
