I've loved her since her first album when "Tightrope" came out, she's definitely one of the most talented people to come out in the last five years...but all her songs lack that certain something that will make them hits. She has the drive and musical chops of an Andre 3000 but without the essential pop instincts that allowed him to make songs like "Ms. Jackson" and "Hey Ya".
She just needs that one mainstream smash. "Yoga" is a step in that direction though and is kind of a relief because it shows she
is willing to somewhat shamelessly chase a hit (personally I think some of artists's best work usually come out when they shamelessly try to write mass appeal songs, if they are supremely talented to begin with of course, not the Flo Rida/Ne-Yo type of artist, but the Prince/Bruce Springsteen/Shakira/John Lennon type of artists).
