Well look at it this way...both have been released before the album. Each has had promotion (BBHMM had a major performance, AO2 was used in TV ads). AO2 has a music video out and has been serviced to Top 40 radio.

I was thinking how this would have been an awesome single for Britney in 2001. I mean, after all this was Janet's (successful) attempt to modify her sound to the bubblegum trend popularized by Britney (for solo females). "I'm A Slave 4 U" is good, but the whole Britney era is really mediocre IMO. By far her worst album (I don't count Britney Jean as a real album).

hmm Britney did executive produce Blackout though, named the most influential pop album of the past 5 years (by Rolling Stone in 2011), and the album had many other accolades and placed in several decade end lists.
