Why would they need to? The number of male characters in DC comics/media grossly outnumbers the female characters. This one franchise is centered around a group of female heroes. Female characters are/have been relegated to token status, "fridged," and often excluded from DC content. Again, we're you this pressed over "Birds of Prey" I can see it now, "But, but, but . . . it's an all woman team! Why haven't they addressed the males, waHHHHHHH!"

And to answer your question YES I do think DC friends is wrong for not including more female characters. There are so many other superheroins they could have included (hawk girl, black canary, zatanna, vixen, fire, huntress, etc. etc.) they probably didn’t though for the same reason this show will probably not include many males.

No one's pretending that male heroes don't exist simply because this one series is centered around a group of women. Did Batman, Superman, Aquaman, etc. just up and disappear from the DC Universe? Will this new girl focused franchise cause them to cease existing if male heroes don't get much face time or their own DC Super Hero Girl, action figures? You need to stop being obtuse.
