Gaga needs to have her team go in and update her certifications. All of her singles will be AT LEAST platinum if they have them certified with streaming.

Hopefully they update her certifications and present her with a plaque to emphasis her amazing career US sales before LG5.
Gaga being the first female to receive a diamond RIAA award, first to receive an icon award by the Songwriters Hall of Fame and added another Grammy to her collection. Being awarded for her sales, pop culture status and vocals all since flopping. No wonder others are seething.
ARTPOP is probably certified platinum, let's be real I mean, if even Ariana Grande got it for My Everything despite selling barely 600,000 copies in the US, ARTPOP & its nearly 750,000 should also be certified
Idk what they're waiting. I mean Poker Face is still 5x platinum despite selling 7M copies
Yes, even GUY, which has close to 100,000,000 views on YouTube, which is equal to 1,000,000 sales (I think, Bad Romance's views equated to 5m extra views so).
ARTPOP is platinum with streaming and TEA for sure.
People are so used to us/Gaga being dragged to the point where they BURN whenever someone praises Gaga
It's really kind of weird though. Before 2011 all they were doing was praising her as well. I mean some people didn't like her, but they weren't as pressed either.

Doesn't work like that. The views must come from the US. Bad Romance got 500,000,000 streams for the US and thus was certified diamond (5.4M sales, +4.6M streams from the US).
G.U.Y. may have close to 100M views on YouTube, god knows how many come from the US.

That can't be true, though. That's saying most of BR's views are from the US and that can't be true?

If you take Katy's example, her certifications were updated recently, like last week maybe.
Roar & Dark Horse are both 5M sellers w/ more than 900M views on YouTube. If they counted those views for their certification, both would be diamond certified. Yet Roar is "only" 8x platinum & DH 9x platinum, and not diamond (they'll get there eventually).
The record company is responsible for providing track information including artist, title, music label, running time and release date directly to RIAA. Sales information must be provided to the firm Gelfand, Rennert and Feldman, LLP (GR&F) for verification.

All certifications are based on permanent downloads and on-demand streams distributed within the United States.
1. Interscope needs to report Gaga's sales / stream asap.
2. I think it means streams & downloads have to be made from the US to be counted
This is so easy, why won't they do it? I mean hell, all they have to do is send them a damn link to the recent Billboard article with updated sales if they're gonna be that lazy. I've heard it costs money to get a certification, but is that actually true? That's the only thing I can think of that's holding them back.

Yeah it does cost money to update certifications. Not exactly to "update" sales though.

I actually don't know if they have to pay, but they should do it anyway. What I don't understand is, even if it did cost money, they did it for Bad Romance but didn't bother w/ her other singles.
If you're gonna update one, update all of them. Hell, Just Dance & Poker Face are probably 8x platinum or very close
We all should spam Bobby or something. I know it's not that important, but the fact she's undercertified is just annoying

I feel like it's more complicated than we think. I figure they have to contact Spotify, YouTube, and other streaming sites to get 100% accurate totals, which might take time to get. IDK.

I mean, they sure wasted no time making sure C2C was certified.
Maybe they'll do it before the next era so they can brag about it in a press release or something.
