Chicago's north and downtown are hands down the vest urban area in US. So clean, organized, beautiful, many parks, shoreline, skyline. South is ghetto though, but you can avoid it easily

I've been to both Detroit and Chicago for at least 10 times and honestly Detroit is soooooo much richer and more unique than Chicago culturally speaking. Downtown Detroit isn't even dangerous Chicago is very bland and simply just a lessor of NYC.

Y'all are so ignorant about Detroit. I work there and visit downtown every weekend and never feel unsafe. Some parts are hideous yes, but otherwise it's an amazing city.

This is true but I would give Chicago the advantage based on size and more things to do, I been to Chicago plenty of times to know it's better but people thinking Detroit is 100% ghetto is just ignorant. I also can see where people would think the D is better then Chicago in some ways.

I will make the trip just to get Lafayette Coney Island with some friends and hang out at Campus Martius Park for an afternoon. I used to work at the RenCen when Ford was there. GM did a great job renovating it and the river walk area.

I've been to Chicago and Philly, and Chicago > Philly.

Pretty amazing down there isn't it Detroit has it's gems. It's not like Chicago is that much better if you run down things to do you can find just about the same in each city plus we have the casinos.
