I'm kind of hoping they release the video the first week so that her first charting week sees the full benefit of the potential streaming points. I'd like her to maybe hit the top 5 on the Hot 100 if possible, and that's only going to happen if she's got sales, a radio deal, and a video. Give or take the radio deal depending on how strong streaming is.

Yeah Pre-orders are still good they just have to be up for a much shorter period. I think 2 weeks or even week before the single is released would be fine.

I'm hoping they do it at least a week before but we'll see

But the people who are going to preorder the single are probably going to be 90% Iggy/ Britney fans who would have bought the single in the first 6 hours anyway. I don't think it will boost her first week sales significantly at all.

The best promotions spots on iTunes are to have a main page banner, the first listing on the hot tracks section and/ or being #1. All a preorder did was boost you to a higher position faster, not that iTunes has removed that I really see no point.

I really do think that a full week or more of exposure before the actual release would be beneficial to her overall sales, especially if used in conjunction with banners and proper section placement.
