You can change their minds by coming out and making them realize that you're the same person before and after. If they don't accept you, then ditch them.

It's not healthy to hang out with people who hate who you are and something you can't change. What kind of inner self hatred that brings?

Ive had to be around openly homophobic guys and deal with their comments lately due to one friend that Ive hung out with for years, im gonna avoid her and those people that she hangs with for now on.

I'm not out so I just bash the gays along with them in order to appear straight. They are so much fun tbh. Although it's also making me homophobic but I don't have any problem with it.

And to change your friends' minds, you have to talk to them, show them things that can make them see gay people in another way, that's the only way. Young people are easier to talk to, expose your opinions and try to change theirs. Well at least that's how it should be, so feel free to talk to them, it might help.

Just talking with some of them in College but never get too close with them, they know I'm gay but they just don't speak.

All of my classmates are very homophobic and I had one kinda friend last year and we were just okay with each other but then he started to express his homophobic views more and more so I dropped his ass. Now I hang out with another guy and he admits to be on that "neutral" position, but sometimes he says absolutely dumb ****... That is why me and other girl always make gay jokes about him and that closeted guy from our class

However, I wouldn't want to change their minds, cause they are not my friends, only classmates whom I won't see ever again in 2 months. I don't feel attacked or in danger when I'm around them most of the time, but sometimes it kinda hurts me how these stupid dirty hopeless douchebags can throw around the f-slur as if being gay is worse than being like them.

that's all there is around here tho. so yes, I'm out to the people I hang out with and I talked to them about it, I get mad. lather, rinse, repeat. but they are homophobic in a childish way and they dont stop cuz it's "no fun" then. now I'm alone and have no people to hang out with
