"Food has controlled me" Smith said. From a young age the singer turned to food for comfort. "When I was going to school and I wasn't having a great time or when music wasn't going very well, I would eat — eating made me feel better".
"If someone called me fat" Smith told Australian edition of 60 Minutes on Sunday "that effects me way more than someone calling me a f----t".
I hope he don't pay attention for what people say about him from now on. Fame is so cruel. He needs to stay away from all the negativity or media/fame will destroy him. I'm kinda worried about his fast weight loss tbh (i hope he used a healthy way, not a eating disorder).

He's such a sweet guy.
This. He seems like such a sweet, genuinely nice guy who's fun to be around. I hope he's OK
At the end of day, he's a multi-platinum, multi-Grammy winning artist with fat pockets. And he gets quality D too, so the girls can keep seething with their little schoolyard insults.
i can relate especially, as i am someone who used to be overweight. that's why it's always so annoying seeing some of you people on here ******** on him so much. it's one thing to dislike him/his music and/or to not be attracted to him (me), but to be outright mean and disrespectful is another thing. put yourself in another's shoes for a minute.
