"Not Depressing"

The Other Woman makes me feel emotional too. It's not relatable for me (well at least not from a guy's point of view) but it's really sad if you put yourself in her (whoever she talks about) shoes.

She's basically screaming in agony in the song. It's depressing af.

Ultraviolence has depressing songs but I consider it more reflective than anything. There are a lot of good moments mixed with the bad and sad. Some thoughtful. Some blase. It feels very much like "life" to me, in a sense.

And I knew your heart I couldn't win, because the seasons change is a conduit, and we left our love in our summer skin.

Literally this! One of my favorite albums but it's a much different experience exploring sadness in comparison to I Never Learn for example.

Lana just romanticizes everything. If you're not into that, you won't get it.

i always imagined the video for this being her dealing with the depression of the "Valley housewife" living in a huge mansion by herself self medicating till she finally decides to shoot herself in the head in the final chrous then falls out the window of the master bedroom in slow motion and lands on the pavement just as her husband comes home kinda Gatsby Style

That and Old Money are the best songs on the album.

But he former got a bit stale with time.

They say Old money was meant to be on The Great Gatsby soundtrack. Kinda makes sense tbh.

I'm listening to it right now. I might swap it to my PS3 though so I can let it float around the room and absorb the space. The only issue is that PS3's Spotify doesn't have last.fm and it bothers me if I have an artist on power rotation and their plays don't get scrobbled.

If you're in love then you are the lucky one, because most of us are bitter over someone.

Aside from mainstream pop music and film scores, the music I listen to is typically sad and depressing. It just helps me think and let out my emotions. I like thinking about the why's and how's of everything.
