I've grown to like the prequels even though they still pale in comparison to the originals.
I like the prequels a lot too - mainly because I grew up on them and remember the anticipation of II and III. There's nothing really redeemable about II though - aside from it possibly having the best score of the saga.
Hey. But Jar-Jar ends up becoming a senator (and singlehandedly causes the senate to fall apart and brings a dangerous emperor into power that destroys a peaceful republic). It gets better.
