Some Sony emails leaked through wikileaks and heres some tea:
-Someone sent an email to a Sony high-up/exec with a link to
this Wired article and said "Michael, I am not 100% sure that this brilliant marketing move was done in one of your operating units but if it was wow! So smart!". Michael responded saying that the surprise release was
100% Beyoncé's idea. (Keep in mind these are private emails, no reason to lie)
-Self-Titled sold 365k in it's first 24 hours of release.
-Matthew Knowles shopped the DC movie idea to Sony and was taking it to Universal next.
-They were trying to tap Bey for a movie based on "one hit wonders" in music after their, well, one hit, to play a character named Jezebel.
