It won't affect you that much if you don't like the job.
Oh, but it would. Just the thought of someone deeming me/my work ethics so inadequate that they'd have no choice but to fire me - it would kill me. Even if I hated the job, I'd rather leave than be terminated.
Nope. But once we had mandatory overtime and my coworker kept calling off/going home early due to personal reasons so I had to do triple the work load and it exhausted me to the point where I told my boss I was thinking of quitting.
She convinced me to stay but it did damage our relationship. I learned to never ever do that again! Even if you hate your job just act like it's the best thing ever til you find something else. The job was great and we got paid time and a half but I was 19 so it was a new experience for me.
It was a paid internship so I got off easy but it did help me prepare for the real world. I hate slackers sooo much. Being a team player >>>>>

Sometimes people fire you for the dumbest reasons though. When I worked at a supermarket, some girl had a panic attack one time at the cashier and dropped a carton of eggs she was checking. She was later told not to come in anymore.

Even worse are those hiding defects, unfinished work,... and pretend like there is nothing wrong. Then the customer or I discover the weeks of hidden man-hours.
