Well, other than that, seeing how the world goes, if a god existed he would be completely different from the christian god.

He did not create anyone to fall into a certain religion, even though we live in different places of the globe, which could affect our religious preferences, the same way in culture and other stuff.

I am not really religious, but I believe in a loving God. I believe that even tho life is quite ****, I am thankful for it. I am not a fan of the Bible, quite sadly due to how it's translated and interpreted that makes me think it's all just words. I still believe he's real and I have nothing against anybody just for their beliefs.

Why would his question make atheists look bad? The only thing common among atheists is that they don't believe in God. Their views about everything else differ. Atheism is just a rejection of belief in the supernatural. That's all. There is no doctrine in atheism. It's just a theological position, not a religion, nor it implies intelligence, knowledge or rationality.
