A Brazilian transgender woman called Veronica Bolina, also known as her stage name Veronica Minaj, got beaten and had her hair shaved by police officers after biting and taking off part of the ear of one of the jailers. She was arrested for attacking an old lady.

The case sparked controversy in Brazilian news. Feminists and human rights activists are on fire with this one.
