The point totally flew over your head
Depending on how it falls, it might crack at a very low drop or survive a very high one. It all depends on how it falls. One person saying "my iPhone cracked at 3ft!!!" is going to be a lot louder than "my iPhone survived at 3ft!!!" so people will generalize that it's a weak phone.
I've dropped my iPhone 6 Plus so many ****ing times with no case and the screen doesn't have a crack on it.
