Discussion: Who remembers the show "LOST" - Page 2

I mean it started off well and good but just ended up being a ****ing mess. It definitely has some cute moments throughout and can be interpreted in a million different ways, but ultimately it's a whole lot of clunky, unresolved storytelling with messy plot holes and lazy explanation throughout.

I was the same. Saw it on Netflix and the rest was history. It's so damn amazing

It makes perfect sense to me. The the ending is where I felt a bit "wtf" but no seriously, it makes perfect sense.

Who doesn't remember this show? It's legendary and the best TV show of all time. Seasons 5 and 6 slayed, poor haters

And then the way they INVERSED the "LOST" colors to go with the explosion had me feeling something special

Actually one of the main writers spilled the tea last month and he said they had the first 2 Seasons partially figured out as early as the pilot script was finished, they only fully started improvising during Season 3 (after he was fired him

), that's why there are so many plot holes from then on

Well, I understand it, and it was because the finale was totally focused on the characters' fate rather than resolving all the mysteries, which in my opinion was an stupid move since they had created such a huge mythology and then they simply dropped everything

I still loved the finale, though, it wasn't that bad.

I started watching it when it first started, watched a season and a half, missed an episode and realized I would never catch up and gave up until the series ended.

I later came back to it as soon as it concluded, watched it all in order, and now it's one of my all-time favorite shows.

I feel for anyone that had to deal with the suspense of waiting a week for each new episode though. i don't know how they did it.

Girl, the worst was the wait in between seasons

Or when Season 3 started with only 6 episodes in 2006 and we had to wait for the rest in 2007 and from then on all season would start on Jan/Feb of the next year

Or when the writers' strike happened in 2008, during Season 4, and they left us hanging for like 3 months until it was over and then they resumed shooting

It was exceedingly obvious they were never going to resolve most of the mysteries they created. You can come up with your own explanations yourself.

To answer you question about the finale: They weren't dead the whole time, everything we saw from Season 1 to Season 5 was all real.

The producers played with our minds from the very first escene of Season 6 making us think that the hydrogen bomb going off at the end of Season 5 somehow created an "alternate universe" where the Island was sunken at the time Flight 815 was flying to LA so no crash ever happened and also the lifes of everyone was different as well since the Island had no power over anyone anymore...

...except that those Flash Sideways sceines were in fact Flash Forwards of everyone's AFTER LIFE in a place they created after they all died and where they all were supposed to reunite once they all "woke up" (or realized that they were already dead after remembering their lfes on the Island) in order to "move on" to the other side or whatever you want to call it.

Basically they all died but we just didn't get to see all deaths because some happened long after they all left the Island, etc. The official last death we see is Jack's at the very last frame of the series.

So yeah, you can say they were in a purgatory but it wasn't the Island and we witnessed it only during Season 6.
