If she had released the singles normally, i.e. 45S -> BBHMM urban and AO pop, and released the album 2-3 weeks after ao released, she would have been set. The messiness is cause by the release on tidal not by quality or lack of success

did I ever say FFS was a flop? no, so I'm not getting the unnecessary Gaga comparison once again. although it's funny that a lot of people (I think even you, not sure) claimed Applause wasn't a hit yet FFS will sell the same or less than it in the US but is one.

FFS performed slightly better than Applause worldwide, yes, but it's no WFL or Diamonds. far from it.
Sounds like an excuse to me. What does Tidal have to do anything? She could have released AO exclusively on Tidal and still had a release date for the album set in stone. However, that hasn't happened. I still think the signs lead to the label not being too satisfied with the album. They're throwing things out there and waiting to see what really sticks. Maybe hoping Rih records a major hit record in the mean time too. Guess we'll see how it all plays out eventually.
