This is what she's needed to do this whole time, but Epic was too stupid to get behind it. You can't maintain a stanbase as a "new" artist with just two songs (American Girl & Sleepwalker) available, especially when the first one didn't take off as expected.
Releasing a quality EP (with videos to top it off) is going to do more for her in terms of building up support than anything she's done thus far.
Here's hoping it causes a Betty Who-effect (quality EP builds fanbase & spurs label interest) and we actually get an album soon after.

I could see that happening. I still think RCA would be the best choice for her since EPIC didn't work out. Miley and Sia are doing great there and I think she'd fit in there pretty well.
