"Geek goddess" and The Newsroom actress Olivia Munn has been cast as Betsy "Psylocke" Braddock in the forthcoming X-Men: Apocalypse, director Bryan Singer announced today via Twitter.
Munn has previously appeared as a host on Attack of the Show! and had minor roles on Chuck and in Iron Man 2.
Psylocke was created by Chris Claremont and Herb Trimpe in 1976 for Captain Britain and later integrated more fully into the X-Men universe. She's a model with powerful psychic powers and advanced martial arts training.
Is this Betsy before her mind was moved to an asian body? Because if it's not except the internet to revolt (myself included). This bitch better not have any ninja training yet.

Psylocke's a good addition to the team, and I'm sure Singer will make up for Ratner's utter failure in handling X3.
What I'd love tho is for Apocalypse to set up Phoenix. Even if it's just an easter egg; there's no way they can introduce Jean, and NOT address her biggest story arc. Not to mention one of the most iconic stories in comic book history.
