A guy who sits in a chair playing video games who decides to randomly rape a baby who wanders by is no better than a guy who goes out and snatches children off playgrounds. I guarantee you, considering that the girl was family and probably around him often, this would have turned into a regular thing had he not been caught.

As far as the judge's reasoning

"He had a sexual urge!"

"the girl wandered over to HIM!"

"Oh she's fiiiiine there's hardly any physical injuries and she seems happy!"

A sentence reduction from 25 to 10 seems way too much to me though. At most it should have been a reduction from 25 years to 20 years.

this is AWFUL, wtf. That guy is going to get destroyed in jail so I'm glad he'll get what's coming to him anyways. But seriously, the way the blame is kind of being redirected to the little girl is sickening. He's a grown ass man, he can control his urges.

Major news sources have been talking about it and the city supervisors of Orange County have held a press conference asking the judge to resign. The district attorney is planning on appealing too. I just hope something actually comes out of all this. This isn't something we should just drop and let it be forgotten.
