I actually did (for that Essentials ballot I never finished, kii) and was slayed, honestly. I used to hate it and thought even MDNA was better. The Summery, pure Pop aesthetic is cute in retrospect.
ARTPOP sounds like an uncoordinated mash of 2012-13 trends. I'm surprised she restrained herself from Dubstep.
Y'all do too much on ARTPOP, it's her most adventurous and least generic album yet. It may have not been executed perfectly but she definitely was doing something different with this record and I'm happy that she did. It shows that she's going in a more creative direction. This review perfectly sums up how I feel about it
