I thought she was on something but seeing this I understand that lack of sleep and being in a total different stage mentally made her seem off during that interview.
It made me admire her as a person even more, she doesn't rest on her laurels but really dives into whatever she puts her mind to it with a high level of professionalism. The fact that she as well took the time to shake hands with all 47 people tells you how she cares for each and every individual working for/with her, how big or small their role might seem to be.

That man's interview was very eye-opening! I'd been meaning to find out exactly what this project is all about. She really is a performance artist acting as a popstar, and not the other way around. She gets so much unnecessary flack for it too - and it's so unfair on her.
I suppose
ARTPOP as a pop record was never going to properly translate to people precisely what she wanted, but that goes with the territory of a pop record - people don't take it seriously.
